Schedule confirmed with 100 days to go to FIBA Asia Cup 2022
BEIRUT (Lebanon) – FIBA Regional Office Asia has confirmed the official schedule and matchups for the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 with 100 days left to tip-off.
The Group Phase will be played from July 12-17. The sixteen (16) teams competing in Asia Cup 2022 were drawn into four (4) groups of four (4) at the Draw earlier in February.
The premier competition in Asia & Oceania commences on July 12 with the first game of the Group Phase tipping off at 11:00 (GMT +7) between Chinese Taipei and Bahrain.
The FIBA Asia Cup defending champions, Australia, take the court in the following game at 15:00 (GMT +7) in an intense matchup against Jordan.
Hosts Indonesia play their first game of the FIBA Asia Cup at 17:30 (GMT +7) against Saudi Arabia.
The final game of the day is a classic rivalry matchup between perennial contenders and East Asian rivals China and Korea at 20:00 (GMT +7).

At the end of the Group Phase, the first-place teams in the standings in each of the 4 groups will proceed directly to the Quarter-Finals. Meanwhile, the second and third-placed teams will proceed to play in the Qualification for Quarter-Finals round which starts on July 18. Once the teams confirm their spots, the Quarter-Finals will then begin on July 20.
The Semi-Finals will be played on July 23 after a Rest Day, setting up the stage for the grand finale.
The Final will be played on the last day of the competition on July 24 as well as the Third-Place Game.
